A unique combination of modern comfort with traditional service and ambience, this is a private train where the emphasis is on comfort, informality and fun. No need to dress for dinner (unless of course you want to) and whichever accommodation you chose, you have access to a shower. The beautifully appointed new Deluxe sleeping compartments have two lower beds and en suite shower/WC and the Classic compartments, steeped in history, have upper and lower berths with a shower just along the corridor.

Dining in the Restaurant cars will awaken your senses with its inimitable fusion of fine food, good company and panoramic views. The Lounge car, with its warm and friendly atmosphere provides the perfect rendezvous to join fellow travellers and indulge in relaxed conversation, a pre-dinner drink or simply to listen to a favourite tune from the pianist.

The Danube Express offers many possibilities from a three-day  journey to a leisurely twelve-day escorted tour across Europe. The exciting itineraries feature scenic daytime travel on the Danube Express with stops en route in intriguing places where you are free to join an included sightseeing tour, explore on your own or simply stay on board. The award winning, critically acclaimed wines from the Szeremley Wine House in Hungary are served on board the Danube Express.

Producing over 12 varieties of grape on 115 hectares of vineyards, some exclusive to the region, the Szeremley Vineyards are one of the best known family estates in the Badacsony region.

Mount Badacsony is renowned for its volcanic basalt soil and excellent microclimate, tempered by Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe giving the well known character to the wines.
